Favorite PH Song Flown This Acid World
Favorite PH Album Flown This Acid World
Favorite PH Live moment: Show supporting Flown This Acid World at the old Rocking Horse in Scottsdale, Arizona. Everyone seemed to be so into the moment. I was completely transported to another place.
I started Gematria when I couldn't find any other existing internet mailing list about Peter. I started advertising the list in usenet groups and eventually started building up a good sized list. I don't remember exactly when I started the list, though I'm guessing it was in the '95 - '96 timeframe.
I first became a fan of Peter Himmelman when I heard "Eleventh Confession" on the radio. I had a heck of a time finding out the name of the artist and the song title. I finally bought This Father's Day and was hooked.
I saw Peter play at a radio station show (KUKQ possibly) after Synesthesia was released. He did the best he could, but the crowd was more interested in seeing the Meat Puppets later that evening.
After From Strength to Strength came out I saw him at a small place called Long Wong's in Tempe, AZ. This was the show that really captured my interest in him as a live performer.
It was just him and an acoustic guitar. He played for a while in the club, then played on the sidewalk outside the club. Finally he lead us across the street into a grassy field. I was hooked. I've been a huge fan ever since.
